Multiple Intelligences Teaching Strategies MI theory suggests that no one set of teaching strategies will work best for all students at all times. All children have different proclivities in the seven (eight) intelligences, so any particular strategy is likely to be highly successful with one group of students and less successful with other groups (Armstrong, 1994, p. 65). Why so many MI Strategies? The answer is easy. Each strategy is particularly useful for achieving some educational objective. However, no single teaching strategy can achieve all education objectives nor match, stretch, and celebrate all intelligences. Many strategies integrate several intelligences and facets simultaneously. Following is a list of MI and their strategies.
